NH농협은행은 올 상반기에 통과된 전자서명법 전부 개정안에 따라 12월 10일부터 공인인증서의 독점적인 지위가 사라지는 '디지털 뉴딜 정책'에 선제적으로 대응하고 금융-통신사간 연계를 통해 차세대 인증 서비스 시장의 선두주자로서 위치를 굳히겠다는 계획을 갖고 있다고 하는데요,
앞으로 이업종간 제휴 등 새로운 도전을 통해 고객에게 차별화된 가치를 제공하고 다양한 상생 비즈니스 모델을 지속적으로 창출할 것으로 기대되고 있습니다.

 

그렇다면, 패스(PASS) 앱은 무엇인가요?

패스(PASS)는 개인정보를 입력할 필요가 없어 앱에서 비밀번호와 지문, 홍채, 얼굴 등의 생체 인식 인증만으로 안전하고 간편하게 본인 인증을 할 수 있는 앱이며, SK텔레콤, KT, LG유플러스 등 이동통신사가 공동 추진하는 사설 전자인증 서비스 입니다.

패스를 통한 서비스 사례는 "모바일 운전면허증" 사업이 있습니다.

패스 모바일운전면허 확인서비스’는 사용자 본인 명의의 스마트폰 1대에 1개의 통신사를 통해서만 이용할 수 있습니다. 기본 화면에는 운전면허증 사진, 인증용 QR코드 바코드만 노출됩니다. 생년월일, 주소 등 개인정보의 불필요한 노출을 최소화했습니다. 

인증 화면 위에는 상시 움직이는 애니메이션을 적용해 QR코드 바코드 캡처를 차단했습니다. 또, 일정 시간이 지나면 코드를 초기화해 도용에 따른 위험을 낮췄습니다.

패스(Pass), 과연 안전한가요?

패스는 블록체인 기술을 활용하여 ‘패스’ 서비스와 경찰청 운전면허 시스템을 연동했습니다. 경찰청과 도로교통공단에 등록된 실제 면허증 사진이 앱에 등록되도록 함으로써 타인의 사진이나 정보로 면허증을 위·변조하려는 시도 또한 효율적으로 차단할 수 있습니다.

 

과연 어디에서 패스(PASS) 서비스를 제공하고 있을까요?

패스(PASS)서비스는 보안솔루션 전문업체 아톤에서 제공하고 있는데요, 이 회사는 지난해 10월 코스닥시장에 상장한 새내기 기업입니다. 주요 사업은 핀테크 보안솔루션, 간편인증서비스(PASS), 티머니(T-Money) 솔루션, 스마트금융 등을 진행하고 있습니다.

특히, 아톤은 PASS 인증서 서비스 사업자로 현재 LG유플러스의 PASS 앱을 운영하고 있는데요, PASS앱의 사용자 수는 올해 가파른 증가세를 보이고 있습니다. 공인인증서 제도가 폐지되면서 PASS가 대체 수단으로 주목받고 있는 상황으로써, PASS 인증서 발급 건수는 올해 6월 1500만건(누적기준)을 돌파하였습니다.

Where do you provide PASS service?

The Pass service is provided by Aton, a security solution specialist, and is a new company listed on the KOSDAQ market in October last year. Major businesses include fintech security solutions, simple authentication services (PASS), T-Money solutions, and smart finance.

In particular, Aton is a PASS certificate service provider and currently operates LG U+'s PASS app, and the number of users of the PASS app is showing a steep increase this year. With the abolition of the accredited certificate system, PASS is gaining attention as an alternative, and the number of PASS certificates issued exceeded 15 million in June this year.
