현재 미국 대선에서 바이든이 트럼프 대통령에 17% 라는 큰 격차로 앞서고 있습니다.

미국 대선이 이제 3주 앞으로 다가왔는데요. 영국 일간 가디언이 현지시간 13일, 여론조사 전문기관 오피니엄 리서치에 의뢰한 여론조사에서 바이든 후보는 57%의 지지율을 얻었다고 합니다. 반면, 현 대통령인 트럼프는 40%의 지지율을 획득하였다고 합니다.

이달 초에 CNN 여론조사에 의하면, 두 후보의 격차는 16% 가량이었는데요, 이보다 1% 더 벌어진 상황이네요. 

두 후보의 격차는 왜 발생되고 있는지 알아봅시다.

우선, 최근 전시에 사망한 군인들을 “패배자(loser)” “호구(sucker)”라고 폄훼했다는 폭로와 구설에 오른 트럼프에 대한 1차 TV토론 방해 전략과 더불어, 신종 코로나바이러스 감염증(코로나19) 슈퍼 전파 행사로 지목되는 백악관 행사 개최로 트럼프 대통령의 지지율 하락이 이어져 오고 있습니다.
